Activision has released the roadmap for Season 4 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, announcing the confirmation of the leaked Vondel map, and a change in the current version of battle royale. The ‘2.0’ suffix is being dropped from the game’s title, and it will now be called just ‘Warzone’.

Warzone 2.0 Suffix Dropped

Warzone 2.0 was the official name of the game before its launch. However, the new roadmap for Season 4 of the game does not include the ‘2.0’ suffix in any of its official accounts’ tweets. Similarly, the press release from Activision only refers to the game as ‘Warzone’. The original Warzone is still in operation, but its follow-up is now known as Warzone Caldera.

Confirmation of Vondel Map

The Season 4 roadmap confirms the existence of the Vondel map, which is a brand-new map for Warzone. The size of the map is somewhere between Al Mazrah and Ashika Island. Vondel will support 18 players for DMZ and 72 in Resurgence. Further details on what to expect from the new map will be released on June 8.
